This Californian neo-colonial style mansion, with just one floor, was constructed in 1949, and designed by a famous architect so that he could live with his family. The mansion is currently decorated in a vintage style, but fitted out with modern comforts.

The house is located in the most residential area of Santiago de Cuba, leaving residents free to enjoy the space available and a cooler environment within the hottest town in Cuba.

The house patio is a real oasis full of plants, many of which are used in the gastronomic menu offered to customers. The building includes 7 large rooms, 4 of which are available to rent, two main lounges, a library, an eating room, three patios, a garden, a garage and two kitchens. All rented rooms come with a view over the patio or garden and large windows.

The former owners held shares in the Bacardí rum factory.

Extra value:

Sharing areas with the family brings extra value to the house: Bertha María Serguera, founding director of the National school of Arte, doctor in pharmaceutics, with a degree in political sciences, speaks English and French; Reinaldo Suarez Suarez: doctor in law, lecturer at Universidad de Oriente, author of various books; the hostess Nani: Literature specialist, former lecturer in Hispano-American literature at Universidad de Oriente, with a Masters in Cuban and Caribbean studies, speaks English as her second language. The home can boast the largest private library in the town and a splendid collection of original photographs and documents relating to the different phases of national and universal history.
